AMSA League Rules

There will be no alcoholic beverages served during a swim meet.

Relay events are mixed - boys and girls participate as one relay team. The team shall not include more than two boys.

No more than 15 exhibition heats are allowed in a dual meet. Swimmers in exhibition heats will receive place ribbons.

Scoring of events at dual meets: Individual Events = 1st – 6 pts., 2nd – 4 pts., 3rd – 3 pts., 4th – 2 pts., 5th – 1 pt. Relay Events = 1st – 8 pts., 2nd - 4 pts., 3rd place – 2 pts

No swimmers are permitted to push coaches/others into the pool following a meet. Penalty is loss of 10 points at League Championships.

Each swimmer must have participated in 3 dual meets (in a scoring heat) during the season in order to swim in Championships.

At Championships, each team is allowed only four entries per individual event and one entry per mixed relay event.

 6 & under events will be held at Championships!
